 | The end of 15s season has arrived, bringing with it Championships, Alumni Matches, BBQs and 7s!
Of particular importance:
- Congrats to all teams for their performance this year! In particular, the Buffaloes making it the Pac Coast Championships, the Steelheads to the WA State Semis, the Bandits for a major resurgence in numbers, and the Barbarian U17s for winning the RugbyWa State Championships!
- The Alumni match is June 1 - all Barbarians and former Barbarians, come on out for a day of fun rugby and reminiscing!
- Tatunka 7's - Budd Bay Rugby's own 7's tournament, is June 15th.
- The club-wide BBQ is June 22nd - hope to see players, parents and Alumni in attendance!
- The Annual Vision Fund Golf tournament is August 11th - this is a date change so be sure to plan on being there.

Save The Date - Barbarian's Alumni Match
June 1, 2013 - The annual Barbarian Alumni Match is next week! This is a great event for Barbarian Alumni to come out and meet the current players, reminisce about old times and show us all that you've still got "it".
Time: 12-4 pm
Location: Horizon Pointe
Cost: $10 for Alumni, $5 for active Barbarians (this is a fundraiser!)

Save the Date - Tatunka 7s Summer Tournament
June 15, 2013 - Plans for the 21st Annual Tatunka 7's Rugby Tournament, hosted by Budd Bay, are underway. Tournament director Jennilyn Franklin has things well in hand, but if you're interested in helping out, let Jennilyn know. We'll need plenty of hands the day of the tournament. This is one of our biiggest fundraisers of the year, so come on out and support the club! You can read all the details here.
Save The Date - Budd Bay Rugby BBQ
June 22, 2013 - Our on again, off again annual get together is on again! Come on out for a wrap up of the season, awards, and plans for the future, and bring an item for the potluck (the club will provide burgers and hot dogs). The main event geared towards all players and their families will be from 3-8 pm, with a social to follow. Details of the location will be in a following announcement.
Save The Date - Golf Tournament
August 11, 2013 - THIS IS A DATE CHANGE! Budd Bay is planning our annual Vision Fund Golf Tournament! Our previous event was a huge success, but this year we are really turning it up a notch. We'll be playing at Delphi Golf Course, a beautiful course out on Delphi Road. Lots more details to come, but be sure to save the date! If you would like to get involved, or know someone who might like to sponsor a hole, please get in touch with Rena who has volunteered to coordinate the event.

Sat. 5/18/13 - Barbarians U15 vs Chuckanu - L 40-17

Well played physical game. Chuckanut capitalized on a couple of Budd Bay mistakes in the second half to extend their lead. The Budd Bay team was led by the efforts of Anthony Edwards and Isiah Loucks all day
Sat. 5/11/13 - Barbarians U17 vs Liberty- W 34-27
Ben Pendowski (2T), Lui Sitama (4C, 2P), Royce (T), Sam (T)
Another tight see-saw affair. Liberty jumped out early and had a 15-10 lead. Liberty extended their lead to 27-17 midway through the second half before Budd Bay mounted a comeback while playing a man down. Budd Bay climbed back to 27-24 before Ben P broke several tackles for a long try run and put Budd Bay into the lead. A late penalty lick by Lui gave Budd Bay some breathing room, and the team defense shut down the Liberty attack for the rest of the 2nd Half. Congratulations State Champions!
