Buffaloes Make History

The Budd Bay Rugby men's team made history this weekend in Seattle. The Buffaloes played the Seattle Quake and won 48-24. This makes the Buffaloes winning streak 7-0, which is a first in BBRFC history. Coach Jerry Quirke is ecstatic about the sportsmanship and effort displayed in the match. "Everyone played their best rugby" Jerry said. Ryan Cole earned title of "Man of the Match" with 3 tries, 1 penalty and an amazing 6 out of 6 conversions. Taylor Briscoe also had three great tries and Triston Selchlin made one penalty kick.

The Buffaloes complete the first half of their season triumphantly. This is all thanks to the wonderful support from the Budd Bay Bandits, fans, members, coaches and the talented rugby players who make up the Buffaloes. The men get a small break, but are back to training in January. We can look forward to their first match in February 2010!

On December 3rd the Budd Bay Buffaloes will hold a team meeting at Ballyhoo at 7pm. This meeting is mandatory for players, but anyone interested in joining the men's team is encouraged to come and see what Budd Bay Rugby is all about!
